I work closely with key stakeholders within large organisations on complex digital transformation projects and develop designs based on evidence of user needs and organisational outcomes. I develop a systems view, identify system-wide human needs and address them by coordinating complex solutions across customer interaction channels and touch points.
I use a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods to identify users, their needs, validate key product hypotheses. During early stages of the project I focus on understanding the user, business problems, identify key assumptions and address knowledge gaps. I then use variable research methods based on available time, resources, cost constraints and then synthesize findings to present opportunities or implications for design efforts.
User Journey Mapping
Most companies are reasonably good at gathering data on their users. But data often fails to communicate the frustrations and experiences of customers. I work with stakeholders in mapping out the story of the customer’s experience: from initial contact, through the process of engagement and into a long-term relationship. Journey mapping provides a view of customer needs, motivations and key behaviours and expectations.
I facilitate design sprints with product teams to answer critical business questions through rapid prototyping and user testing. Design sprints lets team reach clearly defined goals and gain key learnings, quickly. The process helps spark innovation, encourage user-centered thinking, align teams under a shared vision and get them to launch a product faster.
I design prototypes range from rough paper sketches to interactive simulations that look and function like the final product. Rapid prototyping helps teams experiment with multiple approaches and ideas, it facilitates discussion through visuals instead of words, it ensures that everyone shares a common understanding, and it reduces risk and avoids missed requirements, leading to a better design faster.
I partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and designers to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch. I capture multiple conceptual ideas, turn them into design flows and experiences and later into functional prototypes that are then used to gather feedback from users and stakeholders.
I work with product and design teams in developing design systems that work seamlessly across multiple channels, platforms and devices. Using design systems minimizes UX debt, promotes consistency, speeds up team’s productivity, establishes a shared vocabulary, provides helpful documentation, makes testing easier, and serve as a future-friendly foundation for new iterations.
